15 visits, last visit Aug-2021We spent a fabulous 2 and a half weeks in this amazing villa. Firstly, on arrival, we were so impressed with how immaculately clean the villa was - so important in these times of covid! Secondly the owners of the villa were there to help us out during a five day quarantine, advising us with where to get tested at the end and what forms to fill in for local regulations etc. This meant we could sit back and relax and enjoy the wonderful villa. It is so well equipped and the pool and the beautiful area at the back made a wonderful base, once we were free to explore the Salento region. We cannot wait to return, I`d suggest booking early as I`m sure we won`t be the only ones wanting to enjoy Villa Rosa in the future!

Jul-2021We had a wonderful stay at Debbie and Bob`s Villa Rosa in Casalabate. The hosts were lovely and the place was very clean. The villa has everything one would need. The hosts even provided a fantastic welcome basket filled with staples and some local delicacies. Would definitely book again if in the area!

14 visits, last visit Aug-2020We return to Puglia and this gorgeous villa every year, people often ask us `Why?` but the answers are very simple. Firstly every year there will be improvements to the villa - whether it's new furniture, more efficient heating in the pool, re-paving of the outside area, air-conditioning throughout etc.etc. It's fun to arrive and spot what's new!Secondly are the things that don't change - and that is the amazing standard of care you will receive from the owners. It starts with the super generous `welcome basket` which as everything you need to ensure your holiday has a relaxed beginning. No running round, panicking as you try and find a nearby supermarket, just tuck in to your first meal and have a glass of the delicious Puglian wine by the pool! And then, if you're the private type Bob and Debbie will ensure you get your privacy, but they are always a phone call away. We've seen first hand the care they offer when it is needed. We were chatting to them when a call came from guests at their other villa who had had minor accident in their car. Immediately Bob and Debbie stepped in, they were off to help them cope with the whole process, including dealing with the local police and car hire company. That's the kind of peace of mind you can have when you stay at Villa Rosa. Next is the advantages of local knowledge. Once again Bob and Debbie can give you advice as to where to go and what to do. With their help we have found out of the way restaurants with local food at amazing prices, wine tours, cheese tasting, fishing trips , the list goes on. We've seen the Salento region through the eyes of people who live there and it's been a privilege and means we find something new and wonderful every time we go. Lastly this villa is simply the best we've ever been to: the best equipped (by miles), the best value for money and the most comfortable. Coming back there now feels like a home away from home. We'll be there again next year and are hoping to bring new friends to introduce to the paradise we have found! We can't wait.

14 visits, last visit Aug-2020Villa Rosa is a perfect Villa. We have stayed here many times and Bob and Debbie are the prefect owners. Knowledgeable, friendly and can also help with the language if you need it. My Brothers wife and kids came to stay last year (2020) and the kids just loved their holiday. The pool was a real bonus for them too. We made regular trips to water parks, a short drive down the coast. There are some fab restaurants in the local town and the Pizzas are to die for. If you prefer to stay in there is a gas BBQ which we used a LOT. Local wines (Primitivo and Fiano) are great quality and very cheap. We are booked to come back in August and hopefully can make it. Lets hope Boris lets us. Book it. You wont be disappointed. Ciao. Paolo.

Sep-2019Everything you need for a relaxing stay in Puglia. The villa is clean comfortable and close to the beach. Pool is fabulous. Welcome pack means a very relaxing first day no need to leave and go shopping. Debbie and Bob are so helpful and only a call away if needed. We had a great week in Casabalate. Weather was great. Plenty to do if you want to go out and about. Enjoyed a wine tour with a pick up and drop back so we could enjoy the lovely wines of the area. Would love to go back again in the future.

Aug-2019This self contained detached villa is perfect for a small family or couple looking for a base to explore rural and coastal Puglia. It is fully equipped with a lovely garden and excellent pool. A 2 minute walk to the sea and local small town which has a market every day in the summer, local butchers, bakery and fresh fish market. Nothing better than getting up, going hunter gathering for the days freshest food and relaxing around the pool then enjoying a plate and glass of Italys finest. We highly recomnend the villa, and will be returning as we do most years, Bob and Debbie the hosts will do all they can to ensure your holiday is a success. Great place.

Aug-2018What a fantastic week. The owners, Bob and Debbie, were at the villa waiting for us when we arrived and showed us how everything worked. The welcome basket was the best we have seen: home made chutney, marmalade, bread, cereal, meatballs from the Puglian Chef, local wine, milk and more. Such a treat! The villa was accurately described and clean and the swimming pool a perfect size for children. Nothing was too much trouble for Bob and Debbie. We have booked to return next year!

Aug-2018All we hoped for and more. The villa and location are perfect - the pool provided hours of entertainment and the beach is on the doorstep. The villa was well laid out and equipped with everything we needed. Debbie and Bob were a phonecall away if we needed anything and answered any questions swiftly and helpfully. The local village/town is a 2 minute walk and we spent most evenings here trying the different restaurants and gelateria! We love it here and have booked again for next year. Thank you, Debbie and Bob, for an amazing holiday.

2 visits, last visit Jul-2018What a perfect place! We were looking for a non-touristy area with a local feel. We wanted a place with a pool and access to a beach. And this place has it all. The house is well kept, clean and has everything you need. And if there’s anything amiss The owners Bob and Debbie takes care of it straight away. Not only is there a marvellous welcome pack with a meal, breakfast products and home produce, Bob will also gladly meet and greet (even in the middle of the night) to make sure your arrival runs smoothly. The pool is great and the outdoor seating and dining area used all the time. A big bonus is the dishwasher and washer. Casalabate is a cosy, friendly and very Italian town with a holiday feel about it. Every evening we enjoyed joining the locals doing their passiate (strolling along the waterfront meeting friends and family for a chat). Bob and Debbie provides you with an extensive what-to-do/how-to/where-to-eat folder which is very handy. Not much English is spoken in Casalabate, but that is exactly what we were looking for and it was part of the fun. We were 2 adults with our two big teenage sons (14 and 19) and a girlfriend (18) and everybody agrees that this house and small town is the perfect place. And Bob and Debbie are wonderful host - before, during and after. We will definitely be back!

3 visits, last visit May-2018We had an amazing holiday at Villa Rosa! Debbie and Bob had thought of everything to make our holiday special. Loads of information in the villa on local places of interest and fun things to do. The welcome basket was just what we needed and some of it was even homemade, absolutely delicious!! The rooms were well thought out and very comfortable with a good selection of books and games for the days you just wanted to chill by the pool. We really can’t wait to come back again soon, everything was spot on.

Aug-2017Stayed at Villa Rosa first two weeks of July. It's a lovely villa, with a fantastic pool and outside living area. We spent most days relaxing by the pool in two weeks of beautiful Italian sunshine. The villa is fully equipped and a good size, making an excellent base for exploring the region. The towns of Brindisi and Lecce are within 30 minutes drive and well worth a visit. Casabalate is a very small seaside resort, but has everything to hand including a lovely pizza restaurant, which we visited several times. Debbie and Bob the owners were excellent hosts and on hand nearby ,providing a delicious welcome basket on arrival, full of local produce. Thank you both, we hope to return. Richard, Melanie and Isabelle.

Aug-2016better than ever! We simply can't stay away from this wonderful villa - we have found our little paradise on earth! As always the owners, Bob and Debbie, were the perfect hosts, arranging wine tours and pointing us in the direction of so many gorgeous local spots we never would have found on our own! This villa has always been wonderful (see my previous review) but I really admire how Bob and Debbie don't rest on their laurels. This year we enjoyed the addition of a beautiful, new paved patio area outside, access to international TV channels, a huge ceiling fan in the sitting room to keep us cool during the day and finally air conditioning in the bedrooms to do the same at night. We are counting the days until we return again!

Jul-2016Central in Puglia very well equipped villa. We arrived in the evening at the villa and enjoyed a very warm welcome by the owners. The villa is situated very central in Puglia, ideal for trips to nearby villages and towns. We have stayed in many villas before but this one was the best equipped we came accross so far! More than that, there is off course the famous welcome basket with lots of typical puglian and home made products (by Debbie!). We also did the wine tour with Debbie and Bob. We tasted one of the nicest red wines ever. Furthermore, our children liked the pool area very much, the water was still quite cold in early may, but they didn`t care. You`ll have absolute privacy in the back garden. We finished our week with a nice wine with Debbie and Bob. They are the most welcoming and friendly owners and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. Strongly recommended by us!

Nov-2015Villa Rosa is a wonderful villa ideally situated to discover the whole of Puglia. We spent our days exploring from the north to the south of the region coming home in the afternoons/evenings to topple into the fabulous pool and relax beside it. Debbie and Bob were friendly, professional, generous and helpful from the time we made initial contact to our departure. The welcome pack was amazing and had many unexpected treats which we enjoyed throughout our week. In addition, Debbie organised a wine tour for us, which turned out to be one of our highlights. We highly recommend this villa especially for people wanting to combine a cultural experience with a relaxing holiday.
